1:45 – 2:00      Break and travel to Admin. Board Room

2:00 – 3:20      Discussion:  Effective “Building Block” activities

 

 

Grades 1 – 5 will meet in the Oak Glen Gym for “Writing” with Amanda Arens

1:00 – 1:10      Self evaluation on the “Four Blocks” using coding dots.

1:10 – 1:15      Convene in grade level circles, assign one person as recorder.

1:15 – 1:30      Share effective activities you have used for “Working With Words”

1:30 – 1:45      Share effective activities you have used for “Guided Reading”.

1:45 – 2:00      BREAK

2:00 – 3:20      Amanda Arens presents the “Writing” block.

  *Elementary Special Education teachers will participate with the most appropriate grade level.

 

Grades 6-8 will meet at Memorial with Marilyn Halliday(2 CPDU’s)

1:00 – 3:00      How do we teach of students with very different learning needs (different learning styles, different cultures, different development levels)?  Marilyn Halliday will continue this year’s theme with instruction in “Differentiation.”  Previously, there has been instruction in Standards Aligned Instruction, Multiple Intelligences, and now we visit “Differentiation”.  As students change and learning needs become more diverse effective differentiation strategies are crucial for helping all children meet ISAT goals.

 

3:00 – 3:20      Each grade level team will meet and document strategies and activities that will be implemented between now and March 29th to help our underperforming students meet state standards on the ISAT test.  Turn in the note forms to Justin Brink before you leave.

 

Math Curriculum Study with Member Teachers at Schrum School

12:30 – 2:45          Training with Claran Einfeldt provided by the T.F. Cooperative

 

* Health aides, library/media staff, occupational therapists, & psychologist to work in their areas.

**  Speech specialists to work on assessments and/or services as assigned by Deborah Lambeth.
