1:00 - 3:15        1.  Trends in mathematics instruction and mathematic curriculum across Illinois

                        2.  Effective strategies for teaching mathematical thinking

                        3.  How to use the Scantron data to shape instruction

                        4.  Tips on using math manipulatives with students

(A 15 minute break will be taken during this session)

3:15 - 3:20        Evaluation

 

Bridges Teachers will report to the T.F. Cooperative

 

12:30 – 3:20      Bridges Training – Part A (Bring your Lunch) (remain for Part B from 3:20 until 5:30)

 

6th - 8th grade teachers will meet in the Memorial Multipurpose Room with Dawn Russert

 

1:00 - 3:15        1.  The role of formative assessments as part of the regular curriculum and instructional process

3.  The benefits of monthly curriculum maps with formative assessments

Psychologist, social workers and speech/language personnel will meet in the Conference Room at Lester Crawl with Deborah Lambeth

·        LRC directors will meet at Oak Glen. A summary of the meeting will be submitted to Mr. Schumaker.

·        Elementary P.E. specialists meet to at Coolidge to plan Field Day.

·        Music and art specialists meet to outline Family Learning Celebration program – turn in program to Dawn Russert.

·        LRC clerks work in their buildings on assigned duties.

·        Nurses/health aides work in their building on paper work and documentation.

·        New substitute teacher training with Sharon Morris at Lester Crawl.
